Downtown is the most walkable neighborhood in Pittsburgh: it’s easy to walk from one end of Downtown to the other in 25 minutes or less! Pittsburgh's ten-year Bike(+) Plan is focused on creating a connected, safe network for all ages and abilities, with goals to expand infrastructure significantly by 2030.

Pittsburgh and Allegheny County boast a diverse trail system that stretches through 24 miles of the city. The Three Rivers Heritage Trail System is a 33-mile trail and greenway system that goes through Downtown Pittsburgh running along both sides of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers.

Bike Share System (POGOH)

Day passes to rent bikes can be purchased through the local bike share program, POGOH.

There are several corrals of bikes for rent within walking distance of the hotel (~0.5 miles / 1 kilometer).

Light Rail System (The "T")

Free Fare Zone Eligible

PRT’s light rail system ("The T") extends 26 miles from Downtown and North Shore to Southern Hills suburbs.

Hotel Location Perk: The conference hotel lies within the designated Free Fare Zone. The Free Fare Zone extends from the North Shore to First Avenue Station and includes all light rail stations in between.

Riders traveling outside the Free Fare Zone must pay full fare when boarding or disembarking the light rail vehicle, depending on direction of travel.

Bus Network

PRT’s extensive bus network covers more than 500 square miles throughout Allegheny County. 

Historic Inclines

The inclines serve as both a tourist destination and a way in which thousands of our riders commute to work each day. 

Monongahela Incline

Dating back to 1870, the Monongahela Incline (called the Mon Incline for short) is the oldest continuously operating funicular in the U.S., transporting more than a half million riders each year.

Hours: Open Monday - Saturday from 5:30 AM until 12:25 AM; Open Sunday from 8:45 AM - 12:00 AM.

Duquesne Incline

Enjoy a spectacular panorama of Pittsburgh and its three rivers. Ride to the incline's Observation Deck in the 148-year-old Incline car to see what USA Today Weekend Magazine calls one of the "10 most beautiful views in America". Historical exhibits in the waiting room entertain between rides.

Hours: Open daily from 6:30 AM until 12:30 AM.
