Special APBP Rates

APBP has secured a special block of rooms at a discounted rate for conference participants. The nightly rate for a standard room is $199.00 USD per night plus taxes & fees. APBP discounted room block rates are available until Thursday, July 18 or until sold out. Sleeping rooms will have complimentary internet access. A 15% tax will apply.

The Fort Pontchartrain a Wyndham Hotel is the host hotel for the APBP 2024 Conference. When you reserve your hotel through the link provided by APBP, your reservation is secure. Ground Transportation & Parking


Parking: Valet parking is available for overnight guests at a rate of $40/night. For attendees driving in, there is a $19 parking day-rate for up to 8 hours.

Ground Transportation:

  • Downtown Detroit is approximately 20 miles from the airport, with taxi fares averaging $45-55. Uber and Lyft also serve Detroit, including the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.
  • SMART Bus (Public transportation)

    • The 261 FAST Michigan bus route provides service from the airport to downtown Detroit approximately every 30 minutes during the day. The fare is $2/one-way. The closest stop on this route is the Rosa Parks Transit Center, 0.5 miles from the hotel (approximately a 11-minute walk). Plan your trip and find more information here.

  • Detroit Air Express
    • Book advanced tickets for $6/one-way or $8/one-way at the airport. The bus drops off in downtown Detroit 0.4 miles from the hotel (approximately a 9-minute walk). Plan your trip and find more information here. 

Bike Share Program: Passes to rent bikes can be purchased through the local bike share program - MoGo. There are several corrals of bikes for rent within walking distance of the hotel. Click here to find the closest station to you.
